Meet Our Psychologist

I love being a psychologist. It’s a genuine pleasure and joy to work with people, to be invited to hear about their lives, their challenges and what they want for themselves. In working with people, I’m interested in tailoring therapy to each individual client. I recognise that every person has their unique way of being in the world and way of looking at the world, and so will have their own needs and wants in how therapy will work for them.
I have been working as a psychologist for over 15 years. I began my career working in a variety of government settings, and made the change to private practice 8 years ago. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive behavioural therapies, somatic focused therapies, and gestalt psychotherapy.
I am experienced in providing therapy for the following:
· Anxiety (including panic)
· Depression
· Difficulty adjusting to a life challenge or a life change
· Traumatic life events (current or past)
· Difficult events and/or relationships in childhood
· Recovery from bullying
· Workplace issues (including prevention of and recovery from burnout)
· Relationship problems
· Adults with a late diagnosis of ADHD and/or Autism
· Parents of children with disabilities or medical conditions
I am also passionate about supporting psychologists and other health professionals in their work.
I am available to provide supervision to other psychologists and psychotherapists, as well as personal therapy.
I am available to provide individualised training (with a therapy focus) for allied health and medical professionals in the skills of:
· Managing client/patient emotions
· Managing difficult client/patient interactions
· Managing vicarious trauma
· Fostering resilience to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout
